Ready to take your diving skills beyond the beginner level? The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed for certified Open Water divers who want to gain more experience, explore new diving specialties, and become more confident underwater.
Over 2 days, you will complete five Adventure Dives under the supervision of a professional PADI Instructor. The course introduces you to different diving techniques while allowing you to explore the spectacular underwater world of Hurghada and the Red Sea.
Two dives are required: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. The remaining Adventure Dives can be selected according to your interests and the available options.
After completing the course, you can qualify to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters / 100 feet, subject to PADI certification requirements and applicable conditions.
1. Five Adventure Dives
The course includes five Adventure Dives, each introducing you to a different aspect of scuba diving. Your instructor will provide the necessary briefing and knowledge review before each dive.
2. Deep Adventure Dive
The Deep Adventure Dive introduces you to diving beyond 18 meters / 60 feet. You will learn how depth affects buoyancy, air consumption, colors, and pressure while gaining practical experience in deeper water.
3. Underwater Navigation Dive
Learn how to navigate underwater using a compass, natural references, distance, and time. This important skill helps you plan your dives and improve your underwater orientation.
4. Choose Your Adventure Dives
The remaining Adventure Dives can vary depending on availability, local conditions, and your interests. Possible options may include:
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Night Diving
- Drift Diving
- Boat Diving
- Wreck Diving
- Underwater Photography
- Fish Identification
- Coral Reef Conservation
Available Adventure Dives may vary depending on the diving center, weather, sea conditions, and local regulations.
To participate in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course, you must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent recognized certification.
There is generally no minimum number of previous dives required to enroll, although divers should have the skills and experience appropriate for the course.
